  4. Go-live at low traffic. Switch-over agreed at a quiet time, with a rollback path if anything looks wrong. Two weeks of support included after the switch.

Questions, answered

Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if it’s done properly. URL preservation and 301 redirects are part of the plan from day one, and you get the redirect map to check yourself.
How long is the shop down?
Minimal and scheduled. The new version is fully built and tested on staging first; the live cutover is a short, planned, reversible step, usually done at low-traffic hours.
Does my custom theme come along automatically?
No, and I won’t tell you otherwise. On PrestaShop 9 the theme needs to be rebuilt or adapted: the audit tells you honestly how much work that is.
Is migrating always the right call, or should I rebuild from scratch?
Above a certain amount of broken customization, rebuilding is genuinely the better option. I’ll tell you if that’s your case instead of migrating something not worth saving.
